Acceptable Use Policy
Such Software LLC — wowne.ro Forum and Paid Email Services
Effective date: June 25, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP" or "Policy") sets the rules for using the services operated by Such Software LLC ("we", "our", or "us") at the wowne.ro domain. It covers:
- forum.wowne.ro — our community discussion forum for the Wownero and privacy-cryptocurrency community, including posts, threads, profiles, and other user-generated content (the "Forum"); and
- Paid @wowne.ro email — our subscription hosted email service, including mailboxes and message content hosted on our own mail server (the "Email Service").
Together, the Forum and the Email Service are the "Services."
This AUP is incorporated by reference into the service-specific terms that govern each Service: the Forum Terms of Service (forum-terms-of-service.md) for the Forum, and the Email Service Terms (email-service-terms.md) for the Email Service. Those service-specific terms are the governing agreement for their respective Service. If a specific point in this AUP conflicts with the governing terms, the more specific document controls on that point. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the applicable governing terms. By creating an account, posting content, or sending email through the Services, you agree to follow this Policy.
We built these Services for a community that values privacy. Lawful privacy is welcome here. Using privacy tools, posting pseudonymously, running a wallet-based account, or discussing privacy-preserving cryptocurrency are all legitimate and encouraged. What is not welcome is using privacy as cover for illegal activity or for abusing other people. This Policy draws that line.
2. Who This Applies To
This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Services, including:
- Forum members, whether registered with "Sign in with Smirk" (a Wownero wallet public key) or with email and password;
- Subscribers to the paid Email Service;
- Anyone who sends or receives mail through a @wowne.ro mailbox; and
- Anyone who accesses, reads, scrapes, or otherwise interacts with the Services, whether or not they have an account.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and through any @wowne.ro mailbox assigned to you, including activity by anyone you allow to use it.
3. Minimum Age
The Services are not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to register, post, or hold a mailbox, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, "COPPA"). If you believe someone under 13 is using the Services, contact us at legal@such.software and we will act promptly.
4. General Conduct Standard
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects other people and the integrity of the Services. At a high level, you agree not to use the Services to:
- break the law or help someone else break the law;
- harm, harass, threaten, or deceive other people;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
- compromise the security, availability, or proper functioning of the Services; or
- abuse the trust of the wider internet by sending spam, phishing, or malware.
The sections that follow spell out what this means in practice. The lists are examples, not an exhaustive catalogue — conduct that is clearly abusive may be actionable even if it is not specifically named below.
5. Prohibited Content and Conduct
5.1 Illegal content and activity
You may not use the Services to post, host, transmit, distribute, link to, or facilitate any content or activity that is illegal under applicable U.S. federal law, the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or other law applicable to you or to us. This includes (without limitation) trafficking in illegal goods or services, facilitating violence, and any other conduct that is criminal where it occurs.
5.2 Child sexual abuse material — zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for any sexual content involving minors. You may not create, upload, post, store, send, request, link to, or distribute child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") or any content that sexually exploits or endangers a minor, through the Forum, the Email Service, or any other part of the Services.
This is the one place in this Policy with no warnings and no second chances. If we become aware of CSAM, we will remove it, terminate the responsible account(s) immediately, preserve relevant records as required, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law. We will cooperate fully with lawful investigations into the exploitation of minors.
5.3 Intellectual property infringement
You may not use the Services to infringe the copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights of others. Do not post content you do not have the right to post, and do not use the Email Service to distribute infringing material. We respond to valid notices of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"); our DMCA designated agent is reachable at legal@such.software, and Such Software LLC is registered in the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Directory. See our DMCA / Copyright Policy (dmca-copyright-policy.md) for the required contents of a notice.
5.4 Harassment, threats, and doxxing
You may not use the Services to:
- harass, bully, stalk, or repeatedly target another person;
- threaten violence against, or incite violence toward, any person or group;
- post "doxxing" content — private or identifying information about another person (such as a home address, phone number, government ID, employer, or non-public real-world identity) without that person's consent, particularly where doing so is intended to harass, intimidate, or enable harm; or
- encourage or coordinate others to do any of the above.
Robust debate and disagreement are part of a healthy forum. Targeted abuse is not.
5.5 Hateful or violent content
You may not use the Services to promote or incite violence against, or to dehumanize or attack, people based on protected or immutable characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious medical condition. Discussing controversial topics is allowed; weaponizing the Services to harass or endanger groups of people is not.
5.6 Impersonation and deception
You may not impersonate another person, organization, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one, in a way that is intended to deceive — for example, falsely posing as a Wownero contributor, a moderator, Such Software LLC, a wallet developer, a payment service, or another community member to gain trust, solicit funds, or harvest information. Pseudonymous and wallet-based accounts are fine; deceptive impersonation is not.
5.7 Spam and unsolicited bulk messaging
You may not use the Services to send, post, or facilitate spam or unsolicited bulk content. This applies to both the Forum and, especially, the Email Service.
On the Forum, this includes bulk or repetitive promotional posts, link spam, automated posting, mass unsolicited private messages, and similar low-value or deceptive content.
Through the Email Service, you specifically may not use any @wowne.ro mailbox to:
- send unsolicited bulk or commercial email ("UBE"/spam);
- send any message with false, forged, or misleading headers, sender identities, "From" lines, or subject lines;
- harvest, scrape, or purchase email addresses for bulk mailing;
- relay or send mail on behalf of third parties in a way that disguises its true origin; or
- evade spam filters, blocklists, or anti-abuse systems.
If you send any commercial email through the Service, you are responsible for complying with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and any other anti-spam laws that apply to you — including using accurate header and subject information, identifying the message as an advertisement where required, including a valid physical postal address, and honoring opt-out/unsubscribe requests promptly. The Email Service is intended for ordinary personal and business correspondence, not for bulk marketing campaigns, mailing-list blasting, or transactional bulk sending. We may set and enforce reasonable sending limits to protect deliverability and the reputation of the wowne.ro mail domain for all subscribers.
5.8 Malware, phishing, and fraud-enabling content
You may not use the Services to create, host, transmit, link to, or distribute:
- malware, viruses, worms, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers, or other malicious code;
- phishing pages, credential-harvesting forms, or messages designed to trick recipients into revealing passwords, seed phrases, private keys, or other sensitive information;
- fraudulent "support," "airdrop," "giveaway," or "wallet validation" lures; or
- any content whose primary purpose is to defraud or compromise others.
This is prohibited both on the Forum and through any @wowne.ro mailbox.
5.9 Security, scraping, and disruption
You may not, and may not attempt to:
- gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, to other users' accounts or mailboxes, or to our underlying infrastructure (including the identity provider at id.wowne.ro, the mail server, the reverse proxy, or any back-end system);
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure, without our prior written authorization;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-extract content, user data, email addresses, or wallet public keys from the Services using automated tools, except where we expressly permit it (for example, a documented public API or feed, used within its limits);
- interfere with or disrupt the Services or impose an unreasonable load on them, including through denial-of-service attacks, mail-bombing, flooding, or abuse of automated requests; or
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any non-open-source software we provide as part of the Services, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
Good-faith security research is something we value. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to legal@such.software before disclosing or exploiting it, and give us a reasonable chance to respond.
5.10 Account and identity abuse
You may not create accounts through automated means, sell or transfer your account or mailbox to evade enforcement, operate accounts to circumvent a prior suspension or ban, or share credentials in a way that facilitates any conduct prohibited by this Policy.
6. Cryptocurrency-Specific Rules
The Forum serves the Wownero and privacy-cryptocurrency community, and discussion of cryptocurrency, wallets, mining, privacy techniques, and related technology is welcome and on-topic. That welcome does not extend to using the Services to harm or defraud others.
What is allowed: discussing, building, learning about, and advocating for privacy-preserving cryptocurrency and lawful financial privacy; sharing wallet addresses and donation addresses you control; legitimate project announcements; and ordinary peer-to-peer community activity.
What is prohibited. You may not use the Services to:
- operate or promote scams, "rug pulls," Ponzi or pyramid schemes, fake giveaways, or other fraudulent investment or token schemes;
- engage in pump-and-dump activity, deceptive or paid token "shilling" that conceals a material conflict of interest, or coordinated market manipulation;
- solicit funds, seed phrases, or private keys under false pretenses, or run "wallet support" or "recovery" scams;
- launder money or proceeds of crime, finance terrorism, or evade sanctions, or use the Services to facilitate any of the foregoing; or
- offer or solicit transactions in goods or services that are themselves illegal.
Custody, clearly stated. Such Software LLC does not custody, hold, transmit, or control user funds, wallets, private keys, or seed phrases. The Forum and the Email Service are communication and identity tools. "Sign in with Smirk" authenticates a Wownero wallet public key by checking a signed challenge; it does not give us access to, or control over, your wallet or funds. Any cryptocurrency transaction you arrange with another person is solely between you and that person, at your own risk. We are not a party to it, we are not an exchange, broker, money transmitter, or money services business, and we provide no financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Use good judgment: assume that strangers offering returns, "doubling," or "validation" are trying to defraud you.
7. Email Service — Additional Expectations
In addition to the rules above, subscribers to the Email Service agree that:
- the Service is intended for lawful personal or business correspondence consistent with normal individual use;
- you will keep your account credentials secure and promptly report any suspected compromise of your mailbox;
- you will not configure your mailbox to auto-forward or relay traffic in a way that turns it into an open relay or a spam conduit;
- you understand that to protect deliverability for everyone, we maintain anti-abuse measures (such as rate limits, outbound spam scanning, and authentication requirements like SPF/DKIM/DMARC on the wowne.ro domain), and you will not attempt to defeat them; and
- if your sending behavior threatens the reputation of the wowne.ro mail domain or the deliverability of other subscribers' mail, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate outbound sending as described in Section 9.
Nothing in this section is a guarantee of uninterrupted delivery, storage, or availability. The Email Service, like the rest of the Services, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis as described in the Email Service Terms (email-service-terms.md).
8. Public Nature of Forum Content
Please understand that posts, threads, profile information, and other content you make publicly visible on the Forum are public. Anyone can read them, and third parties — including search engines, web archives, and other community members — may copy, cache, index, quote, or archive them. Once content is public and copied elsewhere, we cannot guarantee its removal from those third-party systems, even if you later delete it from the Forum. Do not post anything publicly that you would not want preserved or attributed to you. If you want your participation to remain pseudonymous, choose a wallet account and avoid posting information that identifies you.
9. Enforcement
We enforce this Policy at our discretion, with the goal of keeping the Services safe, lawful, and useful for the community. Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, and on whether it is a first or repeat occurrence, we may take any one or more of the following actions, at our sole discretion and without any obligation to act in a particular order:
- Warn you and ask you to correct the issue;
- Edit, remove, hide, or restrict the offending content (posts, threads, profile content, or messages);
- Limit features, such as posting, messaging, or outbound email sending, or impose rate limits;
- Suspend your account or mailbox temporarily; or
- Terminate your account, your Email Service subscription, and/or your access to the Services entirely.
For the most serious violations — including CSAM (Section 5.2), credible threats of violence, active intrusion or attacks on the Services, large-scale spam or phishing operations, or fraud schemes — we may act immediately and without prior notice, including by suspending or terminating accounts and preserving and disclosing records as described in Section 11.
We may also remove content or restrict accounts to comply with a legal obligation, a valid legal demand, or a third-party rights claim (such as a DMCA notice).
Billing on termination. If we terminate or suspend a paid Email Service account because you violated this Policy, fees already paid are non-refundable, and any refund or pro-ration is governed by the Email Service Terms (email-service-terms.md). Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund of fees for the period during which you breached this Policy. Crypto payments are final and non-refundable in all cases. Where termination is not for cause, a paid Email Service mailbox carries a 30-day export grace window (IMAP) to retrieve your mail, after which the mailbox and its contents are deleted; data we delete on account closure is removed from live systems promptly as described in our Privacy Policy (wowne-ro-privacy-policy.md), with backup copies expiring within approximately 30 days on their normal cycle and not restored.
We try to enforce this Policy fairly and consistently, but enforcement decisions are judgment calls, and a decision not to act on one violation is not a waiver of our right to act on another. Nothing in this Policy obligates us to monitor the Services, though we may do so.
10. Reporting Abuse
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this Policy, please report it. You can:
- use any in-Forum "report" or "flag" tools where available; or
- email us at abuse@such.software, or at legal@such.software for legal matters (including DMCA notices and reports involving minors).
Please include enough detail for us to investigate — for example, links to the offending posts or threads, the username or mailbox involved, copies or headers of any abusive email, and a short description of the problem. We review reports and take appropriate action under Section 9. We may not be able to share the outcome of an individual report, and we may decline to act on reports that are not violations of this Policy.
Reports involving the immediate safety of a minor or an imminent threat of harm should also be directed to local law enforcement and, for child exploitation, to NCMEC's CyberTipline, in addition to notifying us.
11. Cooperation With Law Enforcement and Legal Process
We are privacy-forward and we collect and retain as little personal information as we reasonably can (see our Privacy Policy (wowne-ro-privacy-policy.md) for what we hold and for how long, including the approximately 14-day retention window for access and mail-server logs). We do not sell or rent personal data, we use no data brokers and no advertising networks, and we do not hand over user information except where we are legally compelled to do so, where it is necessary to operate the Services, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or Such Software LLC.
When we receive a valid legal demand (such as a subpoena, court order, or warrant) or are otherwise required by law, we may preserve, access, and disclose information we hold, and we may cooperate with lawful investigations — particularly those involving child exploitation, credible threats of violence, fraud, or active attacks on the Services. Where we are lawfully permitted to do so, we will try to notify the affected user of a legal demand for their information. Because much of our data is minimal and short-lived by design, in many cases there may be little for us to produce.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time as the Services and the legal landscape evolve. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top and post the updated Policy. Material changes will be communicated through the Services where practical. Your continued use of the Services after an updated Policy takes effect means you accept the changes. If you do not agree with a change, your remedy is to stop using the Services and, for the Email Service, to cancel your subscription as described in the Email Service Terms (email-service-terms.md).
13. Governing Law and Venue
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Subject to the binding arbitration and class-action waiver provisions in the applicable governing terms — the Forum Terms of Service (forum-terms-of-service.md) for the Forum and the Email Service Terms (email-service-terms.md) for the Email Service — any legal action arising out of this Policy or your use of the Services that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
14. Accessibility
We engineer the Services to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is a statement of the standard we build toward, not a warranty that any page achieves a particular conformance score at any given time. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, let us know at abuse@such.software so we can address it.
