Forum Terms of Service
forum.wowne.ro
Effective date: June 25, 2026
These Forum Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the community discussion forum at forum.wowne.ro (the "Forum"), operated by Such Software LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), a single-member Pennsylvania limited liability company based in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, USA.
The Forum is a community space for the Wownero and privacy-cryptocurrency community. Please read these Terms carefully. They form a binding agreement between you and Such Software LLC.
These Terms are the governing agreement for the Forum. The following documents are incorporated by reference and apply to your use of the Forum:
- the Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP"),
acceptable-use-policy.md— what you may and may not post or do on the Forum; - the DMCA / Copyright Policy,
dmca-copyright-policy.md— how we handle copyright complaints and counter-notices; and - the Privacy Policy,
wowne-ro-privacy-policy.md— what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your choices.
If a specific document conflicts with these Terms on a specific point, the more specific document controls on that point. If you also use the @wowne.ro paid email service, that service is governed by the separate Email Service Terms, email-service-terms.md.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering for, or using the Forum, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the AUP, the DMCA / Copyright Policy, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Forum.
We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 16 ("Changes to These Terms"). Your continued use of the Forum after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Forum. The Forum is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 13. By using the Forum, you represent that you are 13 or older.
If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 13, we will delete the account and associated information. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Forum, contact us at legal@such.software.
You are also responsible for complying with any laws that apply to you in your own location. If your use of the Forum would be unlawful where you are, you may not use it.
3. Description of the Forum
The Forum is a community discussion board built on the open-source NodeBB software. It lets registered users create accounts, start threads, post replies, maintain a profile, and otherwise participate in public discussion.
Until June 25, 2026, the Forum operated on an invite-only basis. As of the effective date above, the Forum is open to self-serve registration.
The Forum offers a free tier and an optional paid Forum Premium subscription (see Section 6). Both tiers are governed by these Terms.
The Forum is provided as a community service. Discussion on the Forum reflects the views of the individual users who post it, not the views of Such Software LLC. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for user-generated content, and you should not treat anything posted on the Forum as financial, legal, security, or other professional advice. See Section 10 ("Disclaimer of Warranties").
4. Accounts and Identity
4.1 How you sign in
Access to the Forum is provided through our own identity provider at id.wowne.ro ("the IdP"). You can create and access a Forum account using either of two sign-in methods:
- Sign in with Smirk — you authenticate with a Wownero wallet. Your account identity is a Wownero ed25519 public key together with a signed cryptographic challenge proving you control the corresponding private key. No real name or email address is required to create or use a wallet-based account. A wallet account can therefore be effectively pseudonymous: to us, it is identified by a public key. For a wallet account, a synthetic, non-deliverable placeholder address in the form
<id>@wallet.wowne.rois generated server-side; you can override it with a real email address if you choose. - Email and password — you register with an email address and a password. Your password is never stored in plaintext; it is stored only as an Argon2id hash. Your email address is verified by a one-time link before the account is active.
The Forum (NodeBB) stores your username, the posts and threads you create, any optional profile information you choose to add, and the subject identifier issued by the IdP for your account. The Privacy Policy explains in full what we collect and how long we keep it.
4.2 One account per person
You may maintain one account per person. Do not create multiple accounts to evade moderation, suspensions, rate limits, or bans, or to mislead other users (for example, by impersonating others or manufacturing the appearance of multiple distinct people). Operating sock-puppet or ban-evasion accounts is a violation of these Terms and the AUP.
We may make narrow exceptions (for example, a clearly disclosed bot or project account) at our discretion. If in doubt, ask us first at legal@such.software.
4.3 Account security
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
- For wallet (Smirk) accounts, control of the account follows control of the Wownero private key. We never hold, custody, or have access to your wallet, your private keys, or your funds. If you lose access to your wallet or key, we cannot recover it for you, and we cannot restore or transfer access to a wallet account on your behalf. The security of your wallet and keys is entirely your responsibility.
- For email-and-password accounts, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for using a password you do not reuse elsewhere.
Notify us promptly at legal@such.software if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization. We provide the Forum on a commercially reasonable basis and do not guarantee that any account can be secured against all unauthorized access.
4.4 Accuracy
You agree that any information you choose to provide (for example, an email address or profile details) is accurate to the extent you provide it. You are never required to provide a real name to use the Forum.
5. User-Generated Content
5.1 You own your content
The posts, threads, replies, profile text, and other material you submit to the Forum (your "Content") remain yours. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your Content to us.
5.2 License you grant to us
So that we can actually operate the Forum, you grant Such Software LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt for technical purposes (such as formatting and resizing), and otherwise make available your Content on and in connection with the Forum. This license exists only to let us run, display, back up, moderate, and promote the Forum and your Content within it. It does not let us sell your Content as a standalone product, and it does not change the ownership of your Content.
This license continues for Content you have posted publicly even after you close your account, to the extent that Content remains in threads, quotes, or replies by other users, and to the extent it persists in routine backups until those backups expire on their normal cycle. See Section 9 ("Account Closure and Deletion") and the Privacy Policy.
5.3 Your responsibility for your content
You are solely responsible for your Content. By posting it, you represent that you have the rights necessary to post it and to grant the license in Section 5.2, and that your Content does not violate the AUP, these Terms, or applicable law.
5.4 Public posts are public
The Forum is a public discussion board. Content you post in public areas is public. That means:
- anyone on the internet may be able to read it, including people who are not registered users;
- other users may quote, screenshot, reply to, or reference it;
- it may be indexed by search engines; and
- it may be cached, copied, archived, or mirrored by third parties (such as web archives, search engines, or other users) that are entirely outside our control.
Once Content has been made public and copied, cached, or archived elsewhere, we cannot remove those third-party copies, even if you later delete the original from the Forum. Do not post anything in a public area that you are not comfortable being public and potentially permanent. If you want to stay pseudonymous, do not post information that identifies you.
5.5 No obligation to monitor
We do not pre-screen Content and have no obligation to monitor it. We may, but are not required to, review, moderate, or remove Content as described in Section 8.
6. Forum Premium Subscription
The Forum offers an optional paid Forum Premium subscription. The free tier remains available; Forum Premium is an add-on you can choose. Forum Premium is governed by these Terms.
6.1 Fees and merchant of record
The current Forum Premium price and the features it unlocks are shown at signup. Such Software LLC is the merchant of record for Forum Premium fees. We never custody user funds beyond the subscription fee itself.
6.2 Auto-renewal
Forum Premium subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each paid period (monthly or annual, as you select). The renewal price and renewal cadence are shown clearly at signup. We send renewal-reminder emails before a renewal charge, consistent with applicable auto-renewal laws. You can cancel anytime through the self-serve account path in your Forum account settings.
6.3 Payment methods
You can pay for Forum Premium by card or by cryptocurrency.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe, which handles your card data. Such Software does not store full card numbers.
- Cryptocurrency payments are processed on our own self-hosted, operator-operated checkout infrastructure, with no third-party payment processor receiving your data: BTCPayServer for Bitcoin and Litecoin (with Bitcoin Lightning and Litecoin MWEB planned), xmrcheckout for Monero, wowcheckout for Wownero, and our self-developed BTCPayServer plugin for Grin.
6.4 Cancellation and refunds
- Cancellation. You may cancel Forum Premium at any time. Your Forum Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the subscription ends and your account reverts to the free tier.
- Card (Stripe) refunds. Fees for the current period are non-refundable, except that you may request a refund of a renewal charge within 14 days of that charge.
- Cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable. All crypto payments are final. We do not issue refunds for Forum Premium paid by cryptocurrency.
7. Acceptable Use
Your use of the Forum is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), acceptable-use-policy.md, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The AUP describes prohibited content and conduct — including, among other things, illegal content, harassment, spam, malware, attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service, and abuse of the registration or posting systems.
Violating the AUP is a violation of these Terms. By using the Forum, you agree to comply with the current AUP. To report abuse, contact abuse@such.software.
8. Moderation, Suspension, and Termination
8.1 Our discretion
We want the Forum to be a useful, lawful, and reasonably civil community space. To that end, we may, at our discretion and without prior notice, take any of the following actions when we believe Content or conduct violates these Terms or the AUP, is unlawful, exposes us or our users to risk, or is otherwise harmful to the community:
- edit, hide, lock, move, or remove Content or threads;
- issue warnings;
- limit, restrict, or rate-limit account features;
- suspend an account temporarily; or
- terminate an account.
We may also remove Content or restrict access in response to a valid legal demand, a court order, or a properly submitted copyright complaint (see Section 8.3 and the DMCA / Copyright Policy).
8.2 No obligation to act, and no guarantee of even-handedness in any particular case
Moderation decisions are made on a commercially reasonable, good-faith basis, but they are inherently judgment calls. We are not obligated to remove any specific Content, to act on any specific report, or to treat superficially similar situations identically. The fact that we leave some Content up does not waive our right to remove other Content.
8.3 Repeat infringers and copyright
In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, we will suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat infringers — users who repeatedly post Content that infringes the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others. Copyright complaints, counter-notices, and our repeat-infringer process are handled under the DMCA / Copyright Policy, dmca-copyright-policy.md, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and which designates our agent for copyright notices. Such Software LLC's DMCA designated agent can be reached at legal@such.software, and Such Software LLC is registered in the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Directory.
8.4 Illegal content and lawful process
We prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) absolutely. We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law and cooperate with resulting investigations. We may also disclose Content or account information in response to lawful legal process, such as a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal demand, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, protect the safety of any person, or address fraud or abuse.
8.5 Your right to leave
You may stop using the Forum at any time and may request closure of your account as described in Section 9.
8.6 Effect of termination
If your account is terminated or you close it, your right to access the Forum ends. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 5 (license and responsibility for Content), 10 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 11 (Limitation of Liability), 12 (Indemnification), 13 (Dispute Resolution), 14 (Governing Law and Venue), and this Section 8.6 — survive.
9. Account Closure and Deletion
You can request closure and deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@such.software (or by using any self-serve account-deletion option we make available in the Forum).
When you close your account, we honor deletion requests as described in the Privacy Policy. In plain terms:
- We will deactivate the account and remove or anonymize your profile and account-identifying information from the live Forum.
- Public Content may persist. Posts and replies you made in public threads may remain visible — for example, where they are quoted by others, where removing them would break the readability of a thread, or where they have already been cached or archived by third parties (see Section 5.4). Where deletion would break threads, we may anonymize your posts (dissociate your username from them) rather than hard-delete them. We cannot retrieve copies that already exist outside the Forum.
- Backups expire on a cycle. Content may persist in routine, time-limited backups that expire within approximately 30 days, after which it is overwritten and is not restored.
- Legal holds. We may retain limited information where we are required to by law (for example, billing and tax records for Forum Premium, retained approximately seven years), or where we reasonably need it to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or respond to a legal demand. We retain only what is necessary and for no longer than necessary.
The Privacy Policy is the controlling description of what we delete, what we retain, why, and for how long. For data-rights and deletion requests, contact privacy@such.software.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Forum is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Forum will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected. We provide and maintain the Forum on a commercially reasonable basis only, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Forum, or any part of it, at any time.
We are not responsible for, and do not endorse, any user-generated Content, and we make no warranty about the accuracy, reliability, or quality of anything posted by users. Nothing on the Forum is financial, investment, legal, security, or other professional advice, and you rely on it at your own risk.
Accessibility. We engineer the Forum to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is a statement of the standard we build toward, not a warranty that the Forum achieves any specific conformance score.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Such Software LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or use, or the cost of substitute services, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Forum or any Content on it, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Forum or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid Such Software for the applicable Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Such Software LLC and its member, officers, and agents from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- your Content;
- your use of the Forum;
- your violation of these Terms, the AUP, or the DMCA / Copyright Policy; or
- your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party.
We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense of that claim.
13. Dispute Resolution
Please read this section carefully. It affects how disputes between you and Such Software LLC are resolved, requires individual arbitration for most disputes, and waives class actions. It includes a 30-day opt-out.
13.1 Informal resolution first
Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. Send a written description of the dispute, including your contact information and the relief you seek, to legal@such.software, and allow 30 days for us to resolve it. We will do the same before bringing a claim against you. This step is a precondition to starting arbitration or a court proceeding.
13.2 Binding individual arbitration
If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days through the informal process, you and Such Software LLC agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except as provided in Section 13.4. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this agreement to arbitrate. The substantive law of Pennsylvania governs the dispute itself, as set out in Section 14.
13.3 Class-action and class-arbitration waiver
You and Such Software LLC agree that each may bring claims against the other only on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
13.4 Small-claims carve-out
Either party may bring a qualifying individual claim in small-claims court instead of arbitration, so long as the claim stays in small-claims court and is brought only on an individual basis.
13.5 30-day opt-out
You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@such.software within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating that you opt out of the arbitration agreement and including enough information to identify your account. If you opt out, neither you nor Such Software LLC is bound by Sections 13.2 and 13.3. Opting out of arbitration does not affect any other part of these Terms.
14. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Subject to the arbitration agreement in Section 13, any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Forum shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
15. Effect of Conflict Between Documents
These Terms are the governing agreement for the Forum. The AUP, the DMCA / Copyright Policy, and the Privacy Policy are incorporated into these Terms by reference. If a specific document conflicts with these Terms on a specific point, the more specific document controls on that point.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms with a new effective date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice (for example, by posting an announcement on the Forum). Your continued use of the Forum after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, your remedy is to stop using the Forum and, if you wish, close your account.
17. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the AUP, the DMCA / Copyright Policy, and the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Forum and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any rights for anyone other than you and us.
The Forum is operated by Such Software. A standard "Operated by Such Software" attribution, linking to such.software, appears on the service.

The right contact depends on your purpose. All inboxes are monitored.
